This intern will support Data Science initiatives within Global Analytics. Our group is responsible for decision-making and business results in Merck's GHH division through innovative uses of data and analytics. We apply advanced analytics to predict customer insights, optimal Merck decisions under uncertain conditions, and competitive intelligence.
This intern will help build end-to-end data science solutions to solve high impact business problems within the Market Research & Analytics organization. This will be a great opportunity to learn about the pharma industry by supporting cross-functional work across business lines such as marketing, business development, and IT.


Qualifications

Education Minimum Requirement:¬ 




  • Candidates must have a bachelor's degree and pursuing a master's degree in relevant area (statistics, operations research, computer science, MBA, etc.)


Required Experience and Skills:¬ 




  • Intellectual curiosity

  • Creative thinker with complex problem-solving skills

  • Strong communicator (written and oral)

Preferred Experience and Skills:




  • Experience in analytics, decision, and/or data sciences

  • Experience with Python, R, or related software

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
