Associate Director, Market Access and Payer Analytics

What You Will Do   The Associate Director will harness the power of big data to execute timely data analytics to drive and deliver robust commercial insights that support market access strategies to demonstrate value of and expand patient access to GHH products.  This role will also be responsible for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of analytics by proactively identifying new opportunities that could benefit from analytics, identifying data and analytics required, and building the required solutions. Role Responsibilities: Lead design, execution and delivery of big data analytics to address critical questions related to maximizing market access through innovative value demonstration and affordability solutions. Provide big data analytics support for franchise teams in developing the access and payer strategy to achieve short-term and long-term business objectives. Develop strong and productive working relationships with key stakeholders with strategic thinking and problem solving across a broad portfolio of business questions and effectively express his/her views. Proactively engage key stakeholders to identify strategic opportunities that would benefit from analytics and new data sources, develop robust data and analytics approaches and solutions, and grow these capabilities. Support the design, development, deployment, and evolution of innovative analytic frameworks, approaches, and solutions in close partnership with other divisions within Global Analytics.  Who You Will Work With This role will partner with dynamic team of subject-matter experts within Merck that come from diverse backgrounds and experiences, including Value Demonstration and Affordability (VD&A), Global and Regional Marketing Teams, Policy, Center for Observational and Real-World Evidence (CORE), and other key internal stakeholders.   Qualifications and Competencies   This role requires a unique combination of skills as s/he will need to be able to gain the trust of business partners, have an innovative mindset to think through novel ways to help to make better decisions, and execute on the idea by gathering the necessary data and building the necessary statistical analytical models. The ideal person will have an entrepreneurial spirit, strong understanding of healthcare data & technology, strong quantitative analytical skills, and the ability to identify & use new customer data sources to improve business results.  Qualifications Position Qualifications: Education Minimum Requirement:  Bachelor Degree Required Experience and Skills: 5+ years of experience in business/marketing analytics or decision sciences in the application to strategic decision-making 3+ years of experience in business consulting (healthcare, pharmaceutical, management, strategy) with strong problem-solving skills Pharmaceutical industry experience, including experience with pharmaceutical industry/heath care data sources such as claims data, patient level transaction data, EMR, etc. Strong analytic, problem-solving and quantitative skills; demonstrated ability to quickly identify analytics needs, build effective solution options, derive insights and make strategic business recommendations Comfortable with ambiguity, and able to act decisively in tight timelines Strong oral and written communication, including demonstrated ability to synthesize complex analysis into clear and succinct insights and presentation skills Ability to work effectively independently and proactively; Ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships; Highly collaborative Ability to manage simultaneously multiple projects and business priorities involving a variety of internal and external partners and cross-functional stakeholders Preferred Experience and Skills: Masters or MBA preferred Proficiency in data science tools and advanced analytics techniques (e.g., R/Python, Alteryx, machining learning), and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) also a plus In-depth understanding of the current pharmaceutical / heath care data sources such as claims data, patient level transaction data, EMR, etc Familiarity with analyses related to value determination, demonstration, market access and pricing Experience required in managing large, complex projects with multi-functional team members  Requisition ID: QUA008021

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
