(MRL) can not only provide you with a great development opportunity but also a

The Screening, Target & Compound Profiling Department is
seeking interns interested in participating in Biophysics, BioNMR, Mass
Spectrometry, High-Throughput Experimentation, Cell Science or Screening &
Informatics studies, either as part of an independent research project or a
drug discovery team. The intern will
learn how to apply a suite of complementary, modern capabilities to problem
solve in support of the Merck small and large molecule pipeline. The successful applicant to this position
will have the opportunity to work in Merck?s state of the art Biophysics
laboratory and learn about pre steady-state and fast enzyme kinetics, while
performing quench-flow and stop-flow experiments. Potential involvement in a scientific
publication may occur as a result of this research.
We are seeking internship candidates with excellent academic
performance, communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to work in a
multi-functional environment. A strong
science background in enzyme kinetics, biochemistry, biophysics,
molecular/cellular pharmacology, chemical biology, engineering, analytical
chemistry, computer science or cheminformatics is essential. This is a paid internship targeted to start
in June 2019.
This is a full- time internship position. Housing
subsidy is not available as part of this program and must be funded 100% by the
student.
Education:
+ Required: Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor?s degreein biochemistry, biophysics, molecular/cellular pharmacology, chemical biology,engineering, analytical chemistry,
Required Experience and Skills:
+ Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor?s degree inbiochemistry, biophysics, molecular/cellular pharmacology, chemical biology,engineering, analytical chemistry, computer science or cheminformatics.
+ Candidates must have completed at least (2) years of studiestoward bachelor?s degree by June 2019.
+ Candidates must be available to work full-time for up to(12) consecutive weeks beginning in May or June 2019.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
+ Candidates should have basic laboratory skills andresearch experience, including electronic notebooks, handling of mammaliancells, purified proteins and/or instrumentation, handling of organic solvents andsamples of biological origin.
+ Candidates should have fundamental understanding ofliquid chromatography (LC) and mass spectrometry(MS).
+ Candidates should have significant interest in drugdiscovery.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
