Pipefitter / Welder II



Under general supervision, perform a variety of tasks involved in construction, assembling, installing and repairing of structural and other ironwork, pipe welding, and metal work of other metals and alloys. Be able to troubleshoot, install, repair, and alter and piping system and its connected associated equipment.¬ 

Qualifications
Education Minimum Requirement:¬ ¬ 



  • High School graduate or equivalent. Vocational or Technical school certification. Courses in Welding, Layout, Steam fitting and Plumbing. Be familiar with the local Plumbing codes. Understand piping CAD drawings/blueprints.¬ 





Required Experience and Skills :¬ ¬ 


  • 3-5 years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in electric and gas welding, brazing, and silver soldering on ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

  • Installation and repair of all ferrous, non-ferrous, and non-metallic piping.

  • Experience with low, medium, and high pressure steam systems and controls

  • Must have adequate skills to perform required job functions with minimal supervision. Demonstration of teamwork abilities and communication skills.

  • Must be able to lift, bend, and move in a safe manner while performing job tasks

  • Must be able to safely operate required hand/power tools, test instrumentation and equipment required by this trade¬ 

  • Must have knowledge and be able to work on computers as required¬ 

  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently


This is a shift role, hours are from 3:00 PM -11:15 PM




Preferred Experience and Skills:¬ ¬ 



  • Experience with Enfield and Polypropylene piping and socket fusion

  • Experience in fire system inspections and testing

  • Experience with installation, testing, and repair of backflow preventers

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
