Desktop Support Technician - Kenilworth, NJ

What will you be doing?

The job responsibilities of the Desktop Support Technician include the following:
Triage and assess all issues being assigned to you (via ticketing system, email, phone, in person)
Maintain solutions for common issues to ensure they are current and document new solutions as needed
Prioritize and manage workload through the company s ticketing system in order to meet personal and team service level commitments.
Ensure reported issues are resolved in a timely fashion
Provide Technical support to customers and personnel for company systems and products as needed
Create test scenarios to verify problems
Assist with quality assurance and testing procedures
Setup and breakdown of IT Systems
Recognize trends with RMAs and coordinate a response with IT Engineering
Configure various IT devices (PCs, UPS, Media Player, Routers, Set Top Boxes) following set procedures
Utilize Mass Duplication Tool such as WDS, Ghost, Clonezilla, scripting to work efficiently
Assist with Warehouse and shipping tasks as needed

What do we require from you?
Previous Experience troubleshooting Windows Environments (XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10)
Strong understanding of PC Internal Components
Ability to use various PC takeover technologies such as Teamviewer or Remote Desktop
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
Strong Knowledge of Office 365 and Office Suite
Excellent Troubleshooting Skills and Logic
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and the aptitude for learning new software and hardware
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Must be high energy, analytical, detail oriented with a focus on customer service
Friendly, service-oriented attitude
After hours support as required to meet client and company needs
Local Travel as needed up to 10%
Experience in a technical support position a plus
Preferred Experience:
Knowledge of a Scripting language, specifically in automation of task or installation
Previous Experience with a Linux OS (Ubuntu)
Knowledge of AV systems
Previous MSP experience
3rd party Technical Certifications (Cisco, Microsoft, VMWARE, etc.)
Microsoft SQL or MySQL Experience
Microsoft Office 365
Labtech RMM
Understanding of Multicast

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
