The client company is seeking to hire an accomplished senior level scientist. The primary purpose of the position is to lead the peptide therapeutic efforts in the lead ID and lead optimization space. The ideal candidate will manage all chemistry aspects of the programs and serve as the subject matter expert. Furthermore, the candidate will lead a cross functional team to build long-term research strategy and resource plans including external collaborations in the area of peptide therapeutics to deliver on MRL program objectives.
Requirements
Minimum 12 years of industry experience, 15
years would be highly desirable. Distinguished record of publications and presentations. Proven track record for solving problems, building innovative solutions and importantly, progressing peptide modalities through LID, LO and clinical development. Strong drug discovery expertise design, synthesis, conformational impact and exposure to PK/PD, exposure to pharmaceutical science work flow and formulations to impact stability and to support development. Seasoned team player with experience leading cross functional teams internationally recognized as a leader in the peptide field.
Education
PhD or equivalent required.
