For our entity in New Jersey, Taste-it Presents, we are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable person to provide financial, administrative and clerical services.
Accounts payable duties include processing, verifying and reconciling invoices and providing financial, administrative and clerical support to the organization.
The position is located in Kenilworth NJ.
Responsibilities / Duties Post business transactions, process invoices, verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records Clarify any questionable invoice items, prices or receiving approvals Assemble and review invoices to be completed for payment / issue checks Maintain copies of vouchers, invoices or correspondence necessary for files Obtain proper information and/or data regarding invoice payments Check vendor files for any previous payments and assign voucher numbers Prepare vouchers listing invoice number, date, vendor address, item description, amounts and coding per accounting policies and procedures Reconcile bank statements Verify invoices against purchase orders and ensure goods or services were received before issuing payment to vendors Skills Proven working experience as Accounts Payable Specialist Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software (Quickbooks) High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Excellent communication skills Job Type:
